During the Prime Minister of India’s visit to Sri Lanka  in April 2025, Sri Narendra Modi described the millennia-old relationship between India and
Sri Lanka as that of ‘Civilisational Twins’. Drawing inspiration from this remark rooted in the shared heritage, history and cultural continuities of the  two nations- this volume has been titled Civilisational Twins. The title resonates across all 37 chapters, each exploring a distinct dimension of the enduring bond between India and Sri Lanka,reflecting their deep civilisational linkges and
living cultural dialogue.
